RENEW is a study to learn more about brenipatide, a possible new treatment to help people stop using opioids.
The intervention is a new weight loss drug, brenipatide, combined with existing buprenorphine or buprenorphine and naloxone.

Screening includes meeting with a research associate, clinical staff and various other procedures. This will be explained to you during the informed consent process.
The screening process can take up to 4-5 weeks to determine if you are eligible to participate.
If you are eligible and choose to participate, you will be asked to attend about 1 visit each week for 56-144 weeks. The visits will occur at our office at Market St. and Van Ness in San Francisco.
Yes! Your time and contribution are of tremendous value to public health research.
If you are eligible, you can earn up to $7,130 for completing all study activities and
procedures.
